Natural Latch – The extra wide neck teat on the Ultra bottle offers a more breast-like shape for baby to latch onto. The teat is made from a super-soft, high grade silicone which allows the teat to move in multiple directions like a breast replicating a natural feeding action. The breast-like nature of this bottle makes for easy switching between breast and bottle.

Secure Seal – A contour zone has been uniquely built into the Ultra teat, which forms a perfect match to baby’s open mouth. This zone allows baby to form a secure seal around the teat which helps reduce air ingestion and discomfort. It also helps prevent messy milk dribbles for a more comfortable feed

Perfect Flow – The innovative angled teat on the Ultra bottle provides a more comfortable, upright feeding position for baby and the milk flows down the bottle in an even way right to the end of the feed For the ultimate latch, seal and flow. Only Ultra delivers it all.

For your chance to win the above pack please like and share this post.

Winner will be picked at random on 29th February 2016.

2015 a quick round up

I’ve just sat and thought back across this past year and realised how far I have come from a year ago.

This time last year I was in therapy for PTSD AND PND. Now I’m not saying I’m completely better but I’m well on my way.

I have achieved things this year that were always on my ‘I’m never ever going to do that list!!!’

I rode a bike!

I visited soft play

I went to playgroup

I had my hair chopped off (and coloured red)

I booked driving lessons!

I agreed to be on a tv documentary and a live news show (but that’s next week)

I had a film crew follow me for two days

I have given newspaper interviews

I passed my theory test!!!

Today I booked my practical driving test!!

And not forgetting to cope being a mum of 3!!

All of the above are big achievements to little old me, especially the driving. Just ask any of my friends and family how I hate being in a car full stop. But now I love driving and can’t wait to pass.

I wouldn’t have managed half if any of the above without the support and encouragement of my family and friends.

So this is just my way of saying a big thank you to all and I hope you all have a bloody good new year.
Let’s see what 2016 brings (apart from a big birthday) 😂

Things I’ve learnt this week….(on holiday with the family)

This week we have been to Centre Parcs for the first time.

I’ve learnt that adventure holidays aren’t as bad as I previously thought. … I wished I’d booked more things to do. (There’s always next time)

Ive learnt that Converse are not for walking long distances when trying to keep up with him indoors. =very sore arch to foot

I’m older than I was… it was my birthday whilst away

Ive learnt just because you have a big flabby bottom this does not mean it’s good padding for riding a bike. …Ouch my butt hurts

Ive learnt how to stay upright on on a bike. I hadn’t ridden a bike for 30+years before this week.

I’ve learnt how unfit I am…. we went bowling, cycling and swimming in one day, we didn’t move from the sofa that evening

I’ve learnt to take a carrier bag when leaving bike out in the rain to stop soggy flabby achy bottom. …only once did I get soggy bott

image

I’ve learnt that I need to be far more organised when going away with packing…. didn’t pack half of what we actually needed.

Ive learnt I’m better at crazy golf and bowling than I thought…whooped H’s arse at them

image

image

I learnt that just because the picture on the menu looks small doesn’t mean it is … the American pancakes were bloody huge and I nearly didn’t manage to eat them. (Diet starts Monday)

image

I’ve learnt the power of Facebook… it has bought myself and one of my many cousins together this week after 38 years

image

I’ve learnt that men can be beauty therapists too…..i refused to allow him to carry out my full body massage though.

I’ve learnt that just because it’s raining it doesn’t mean you can’t go out and have fun…we went out in the rain and had fun as a family and yes we got very wet! !

image

I’ve learnt that having acrylic nails on an activity holiday is not the best idea… lost/cracked all nails on my right hand. GRRRR

I’ve learnt I am far too big to be squashed in the back of the car between a baby seat and Boo…. (see attached pic 😂😂😂)

image

So all in all my week at Centre Parcs has been fun and educational hahaha

Thanks to him indoors for taking us all away xxx

I feel I’m being selfish

OK so this is the second try at writing this.

This weekend has not been good for anxiety attacks.

Friday was the worst I’d had in ages, months in fact.
Him indoors was going out with the boys straight after work.
I panic everytime he goes out but this week was the worst. My mood started to drop quite early then I started loosing my temper within such a short space of time my whole body felt like it was burning and I felt physically sick. The crying came next, this is when I couldn’t hide the attack from the girls anymore. I was sobbing my heart out.
How the hell was I going to calm down and look after the kids?
The only way I knew that would help was to tell him indoors what was happening. I felt selfish!!
Was I just about to ruin his night out? His first night out in months and the first time he had seen some old work colleges in even longer.
So instead of phoning him (as talking was not an option) I sent him a message.
I started by apologising. “I’m sorry but I’m just about to ruin your evening, I’m sorry”
Thank goodness I shared how I was with him. I should of known he wouldn’t be upset or angry with me but manage to calm me down enough to be able to stop crying.
I was very thankful to see him home that evening.

As some of you may have read earlier in the week we had a new arrival to our family. My brother and sister in law welcomed their third baby into this mad world. A baby boy.
I am so happy for them and all the family. So why can’t i show it?
I’ve still not opening shared my birth story for a number of reasons. However I have had treatment for PTSD. This seems to of worked for some time and I have come on leaps and bounds ……until I come into contact with pregnant ladies, newborns or birth stories.
And this is where I start to feel bloody selfish again.
I want to be able to meet my new nephew and congratulate my family on their new addition. Instead I feel anxious and close to panic attack again. This is not fair and not right.

So here I am writing it down so that maybe people can understand a little why I seem to be coming across moody and selfish or even relate to what I am suffering.

This week I will return to see the doc and hope they can offer me some help other than the meds I’m already on.

Win tickets to The Baby Show

I have attended The Baby Show twice with Darcey at London Excel.
Once whilst I was pregnant to have a good look at what products and services were available to us once she had arrived and then the second when she was 6 months old.
Both visits were invaluable to us in one way or another.

We will be attending again this October at London Olympia. She will be 14 months old by then so again we will be looking into the next stage of living with a toddler  (god help me haha) I am looking forward to seeing new products that will be there to try and the specialists that can help us with all aspects of parenting too.

Forever Living Review

A short while ago I was asked by my local Forever Living Consultant to review a selected few of their products.

image

She gave me a large basket of goodies and I was able to try them across three days.

In the basket was an array of products including a sports drink, mascara, aloe gel, all covering many beauty needs and skin aliments especially excema

I am normally very fussy about the type of mascara I use, however I felt I needed to give this one a try.
They have two types, one lengthening and the other volumising. They are both the same mascara however the wands are different.
I chose to use the lengthening to compare with my No7 mascara that I swear by. Below are the results, I did have to apply a few coats, I do this with all mascara. It didn’t flake either which was good as i find many can.

image

image

I had many compliments about my lashes when I wore it and would recommend it to others.

I also tried Aloe Vera Gelly. It is a  translucent gel easily absorbed by the skin.  I found it grear to sooth minor skin irritations and soreness especially insect/mosquito bites. As some of you maybe aware we are a family that suffer with eczema so we also gave it try on affected areas and we found it to be cooling and a welcome relief.

image

Now I love a good exfoliate and will use a daily one normally. So I thought I’d give the deep cleansing exfoliate a try from their  Sonya Skincare range, it’s suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin like mine. This range has anti-ageing benifits- helps to build up a resistance to

image

factors that causes skin to age, and we all love the thought of looking a tad younger than our actual years. It left my skin feeling soft and refreshed. I followed it up with the refreshing toner which smelt devine.

I was a bit dubious using the Forever Bright Tooth gel as it is BRIGHT green! Hahaha I did wonder if it would taste a bit peculiar too, however I was pleasently suprised. Yes it has a different texture to most shop bought pastes but it did leave my mouth and teeth feeling extremely clean and fresh. It is suitable for children and adults as is fluoride free and no bleach

image

I hope this gives you all a slight insight to Forever Living products that can be purchased from a local consultant.
I wish I had managed to give more of their products a good try, maybe I will be able to in the future.

I have popped a link below to Leanne that distributes all of the above products and more.
If you have any questions or orders I am sure she will be happy to help you

I survived day one of the summer holidays. ..

I have been dreading the summer holidays for some weeks now.

Today was day one. And at 22:30 I am here without extra grey hair to say I made it.

We managed a lie in until 7:30am!! And we pottered about a bit first thing as you do.

Then I took all 3 children to view a new house. Exciting and FREE hahaha
And fresh air to boot as we walked rather than getting the bus.

On the way home Boo, Darcey and I popped in the local shop and bought lunch. Nothing special just mini bagettes and hotdogs.

This afternoon Boo decided she wanted to bake. We asked H to pop back down the shop for supplies. And she then baked some biscuits.

image

And finally this evening we went out for my brother in laws 30th birthday.  A meal at Simply Blues in Hornchurch.
I even managed to squeeze in a cocktail

image

image

image

The only downfall of the evening was when I reached into my Cath Kidston change bag for Darcey’s juice cup (full of water) it was upside down and no longer full. Instead all the contents of my bag were swimming in water.
At least I know the bag is waterproof from inside as nothing leaked out of the bag. Hahaha.

Anyway so now we are home and kids are all in bed… I can happily say Day One is done! !

Summer holiday dread

OK so I’m going to admit I am not looking forward to the summer holidays as much as I should be.

Why? I hear you ask.
Where do I start?
This will be my first summer holiday as a mummy of 3.
Trying to entertain and keep happy all 3 with such big age gaps will be a challenge.
Trying not to go shopping everyday
Trying to feed them all day every day.  (Cos you know none of them will want to eat the same thing or at the same time each day)
Trying to find free things to do.
Try to keep them all alive.
I could go on……….

Now I know H is 15 and can pretty much look after himself but I still like to count him in our daily plans if we have any and if he wants to join us.
Not forgetting that we have a 1st birthday to organised and celebrate during this next month.

I’m sure I am not the only mum in this state of dread right now?

I welcome any suggestions on where to go and what we can do to keep ourselves from going round the twist for the next 6 weeks.

Hope you all have a lovely summer holiday ….see you all in September? (With grey hair possibly ) hahaha
